Tanks under water

Das Arbeiten in großen Tiefen erfordert lange Dekompressionszeiten – oder unflexible Panzertauchanzüge. Ein neues System verleiht neue Beweglichkeit unter Wasser. Die US Navy erprobt derzeit einen neu konzipierten Tieftauchanzug, das „Deep Sea Expeditionary with No Decompression“-System (Dsend). Der atmosphärische Tauchanzug soll es dem Nutzer ermöglichen, verhältnismäßig schnell große Tauchtiefen zu erreichen, dort auch längere Einsätze durchzuführen und ohne langwierige Dekompression wieder aufzutauchen. Inspector of the Navy reiterates his demands

It's January and therefore time for the Naval Historical Tactical Conference (HiTaTa). For the 63rd time, naval officers met for this traditional - and sometimes legendary - event. Iran hijacks oil tanker - Tit for Tat?

An initially diffuse situation consolidates over the course of the day. At 04:30 (CET) on 11 January, UKTMO (United Kingdom Marine Trade Operations, Portsmouth) issued the initial report that unknown persons had boarded a ship. It was later reported that 4 to 5 masked gunmen in military-looking clothing had seized the vessel about 50 nautical miles east of Sohar, Oman.
