Die enge Kooperation zwischen dem deutschen Seebataillon und dem niederländischen Korps Mariniers erfordert umfassende Anpassungen. Betroffen davon sind alle Bereiche von der Ausbildung bis hin zum Material. Qua patet orbis (lat.: soweit sich die Welt erstreckt), so lautet der Wahlspruch des am 10. Dezember 1665 aufgestellten niederländischen Korps Mariniers. Diese traditionsreiche Truppengattung der Königlich Niederländischen Marine stellt die Speerspitze der Krisenreaktionskräfte des Landes dar und hat dabei den Anspruch, überall und unter jedweden Umständen operativ eingesetzt werden zu können.
