Watch out shipspotters! Shell construction on the Weser

The Kasko cannot yet sail under its own power - ABEKING & RASMUSSEN Schiffs- und Yachtwerft SE (A&R) in Lemwerder on the Weser in Lower Saxony is building the shell until it is ready for commissioning. Tender "Rhein" returns from the Aegean Sea

On Sunday, 13 August 2023 at 10 a.m., the tender "Rhein" will return to its home port of Kiel from the NATO Aegean Support Mission. From the Hanse Sail to two Mediterranean missions - Corvette "Oldenburg" leaves Rostock's home port

On Sunday, 13 August 2023 at 1 pm, the corvette "Oldenburg" will leave its home port of Warnemünde as part of the Hanse Sail to take part in both the mandated foreign deployment UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) off the Lebanese coast and the NATO Aegean Support Mission. Under the command of Corvette Captain Markus Schwefer (38), the crew will initially embark on a transit to Limassol (Cyprus). From here, the K130 class corvette is expected to support the Lebanese Navy with maritime surveillance and training as part of the UNIFIL mission off the Lebanese coast until the end of October. Afterwards, the corvette will support the task force provider "Frankfurt" in the Aegean Sea.

Keel laid for the first naval fuel supply vessel

On 8 August 2023, the keel laying ceremony for the first of two new naval supply vessels (MBV) took place at the Neptun Werft shipyard in Rostock, which is part of the Meyer Group. Hanse Sail - Festival on the Warnow
