Es gab zwar keinen offiziellen Stapellauf bei der Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG), die mittlerweile von der Heinrich Rönner Gruppe aus Bremerhaven übernommen wurde, dafür wurde nach vierwöchigem Werftaufenthalt die ausgediente Fregatte „Karlsruhe“ (Klasse 122) wieder ausgedockt. Die neu aufgestellte FSG konnte damit gleich zwei Premieren feiern. Zum einen kam für diesen Auftrag erstmals das 180 Meter lange Schwimmdock zum Einsatz, das die FSG vor Jahren aus der Insolvenzmasse der Hamburger Werft PELLA SIETAS GmbH erworben und nach Flensburg hatte schleppen lassen.
