Argentina: Football greetings from the ice

During our winter in the northern hemisphere, the world looks very different in the southern hemisphere: All available ice-capable naval vessels visit and supply the many national and international research stations in the distant Antarctic. Personnel and equipment are exchanged, or food is stored for the coming winter months. The "Malapascua" was on a voyage to Second Thomas Shoal, an underwater reef occupied by Philippine forces in the sector of the sea area illegally claimed by China. In 2022 alone, the Philippines had...

For almost 15 years, they have been building fish-shaped high-performance fun boats by hand - expensive, but unique and spectacular. Their latest coup is the "Jet Shark", a further development of the "Seabreacher", which is delivered to solvent customers in exclusive small series as a 5 metre long shark, dolphin or orca, individually airspray-painted with a 1.5 litre supercharged four-stroke engine (230 hp) and water jet propulsion. Video of the "Seabreacher" "Jet Shark" is larger, has a navalised 500 hp...
