Immer wieder fahren russische „Forschungsschiffe“ mit seltsamen Routen durch die Ostsee. Medienberichten zufolge beobachteten Bundespolizei und Bundeswehr seit Längerem, dass Dutzende russische Spionageschiffe das Netz von Pipelines und Leitungen auf dem Grund von Nord- und Ostsee flächendeckend kartographieren. Angesichts der aktuellen Bedrohungslage sei eine schnelle Krisen- und Reaktionsfähigkeit als Vorsorgemaßnahme wichtig. Deshalb verlege die Bundesregierung nun Spezialkräfte an die Küste von Schleswig-Holstein, wie der Spiegel berichtete.
