Der deutsche Fernleitungs-Netzbetreiber GASCADE Gastransport GmbH aus Kassel hat die italienische Firma SAIPEM mit Sitz in Mailand mit der Pipelineverlegung für eine Anbindungsleitung in der Pommerschen Bucht (Ostsee) beauftragt.[ds_preview] Das Unternehmen SAIPEM wird eine 50 km lange 48-Zoll-Gasleitung (ca. 1,22 Meter Durchmesser) vom Standort Lubmin östlich von Greifswald bis zum Tiefwasserhafen Mukran in Saßnitz an der Ostküste der Insel Rügen liefern, verlegen und anschließen.
