Calm for the harbour porpoises

The German Motor Yacht Association (DMYV) is campaigning for the protection of harbour porpoises The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the harbour porpoise, the only whale permanently resident in German waters. As the DMYV announced in a press release, recreational skippers should actively contribute to the protection of the animals and their habitats. Detailed underwater noise measurements have now been carried out with recreational shipping in the North Sea. Ecuador's important new arrival from South Korea

The coast guard vessel "Jambelí" (MP 56) was handed over to the Armada del Ecuador in South Korea at the beginning of April. The former Korea Coast Guard Salvage Ship "Tae Pyung Yang I" (105 metres, 4,400 tonnes) was handed over to Ecuador in 2024 by bilateral agreement and then rebuilt in South Korea as an OPV. "Drakon" at the petrol station

Israel's submarine weapon is being built in Kiel On 12 June 2025, the boat was moved from its shielded outfitting area at TKMS in Kiel to a berth right next to the new submarine construction hall to be refuelled with hydrogen. It can be recognised by the red flag prominently displayed in the tower of the INS Drakon. Sailors know this flag BRAVO. Apparently there is movement in the procurement project. The first shipyard sea trials could therefore start in July, when the hustle and bustle of the upcoming Kiel Week is over. The current berth of the INS Drakon, which is prominently visible to everyone in Kiel's inner fjord, is likely to be a good choice against the backdrop...
