Great day: National Security Strategy for the Navy's birthday

The German Navy has barely celebrated its 175th anniversary when the German government publishes a national security strategy entitled "Wehrhaft. Resilient. Sustainable. Integrated Security for Germany" as a gift. Long awaited Apart from the fact that the bodies concerned with Germany's national security have been calling for such a basic paper for decades, e.g. for the Bundeswehr's White Paper or its concept, a start has now been made! But even a solar panel has an expiry date! This is not printed on the glass surface, but it happens. Either the panel loses performance, has a technical defect, is damaged by hail or other impact, or becomes obsolete due to new developments. The average lifespan of a solar panel is 20 to 25 years. Indonesia: The old "Cottbus" in flames!

Hading Bay-538 is an old Frosch I-class landing ship of the NVA People's Navy, commissioned in 1978 and operated under the name "Cottbus" until reunification. The decommissioned "Cottbus" was then sold to Indonesia in 1993, where it was given the name "Hading Bay" and the hull number 538. It made headlines in the first days of June when a fire broke out on board in the Selayar Strait south of the island of South Sulawesi (Celebes). All 119 crew members (62 crew, 57 embarked troops) were rescued unharmed by naval vessels and civilian freighters in the sea area. According to available information, the fire was extinguished and the ship was towed to a harbour.
