Canada signs several defence agreements
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has signed several agreements with international partners during a trip abroad. According to the Canadian Ministry of Defence, this is intended to strengthen cooperation with key allies. In addition to Germany, corresponding agreements were also signed with Indonesia, Poland and Ukraine. To kick off his trip through Europe, Carney first paid a visit to the Ukrainian capital Kiev and took part in the celebrations for Ukraine's Independence Day. During his visit, Carney pledged an additional two billion Canadian dollars (1.24 billion euros) to Ukraine.
