Der deutsche Fernleitungs-Netzbetreiber GASCADE Gastransport GmbH aus Kassel hat die italienische Firma SAIPEM mit Sitz in Mailand mit der Pipelineverlegung für eine Anbindungsleitung in der Pommerschen Bucht (Ostsee) beauftragt.[ds_preview] Das Unternehmen SAIPEM wird eine 50 km lange 48-Zoll-Gasleitung (ca. 1,22 Meter Durchmesser) vom Standort Lubmin östlich von Greifswald bis zum Tiefwasserhafen Mukran in Saßnitz an der Ostküste der Insel Rügen liefern, verlegen und anschließen. Für das Projekt wird SAIPEM das firmeneigene Verlegeschiff „Castoro 10“ einsetzen. In Danzig wurde am 16. August 2023 der Stahl für die erste von drei vorgesehenen Fregatten der „Miecznik“-Klasse für die polnische Marine geschnitten. Die Schiffe werden von einem Konsortium mit der Remontowa Shipbuilding SA nach dem „Arrowhead 140“-Design von Babcock International gebaut.
