Bereits im Juli 2024 ist in der Straße von Singapur der 23 Jahre alte Rohöltanker „Ceres 1“ (300.000 Tonnen) in eine Kollision mit einem Produktentanker verwickelt gewesen, bei dem beide Schiffe in Brand gerieten, die Feuer jedoch gelöscht werden konnten.
