Second fleet service boat starts production earlier

Big day in Wolgast Steel construction began at the Peene shipyard site in Wolgast for the second Class 424 fleet service boat, which will be launched several months earlier than planned to replace the Bundeswehr's OSTE class in the near future. The approximately 130 metre long ships serve as reconnaissance platforms with state-of-the-art sensor technology and fulfil current military requirements. Large-scale exercises to secure the Baltic Sea

September is the month of the major exercises Quadriga and Northern Coast From 18 August to 30 September 2025, the Bundeswehr and 13 partner nations will be conducting a large-scale exercise to protect the Baltic Sea region. Frigate "Rheinland-Pfalz" under new command

Today, Thursday 4 September 2025, the commander of the 4th Frigate Squadron, Frigate Captain Volker Kübsch, handed over command of the frigate "Rheinland-Pfalz" to Frigate Captain Benedikt Eichhorn. Rheinmetall builds plant to destroy old ammunition

TKMS signs memorandum of understanding with Indian defence company
