National Veterans Day in Germany

The time has finally come. On 15 June 2025, Bundestag President Julia Klöckner will open the central ceremony for the first Veterans' Day at the Reichstag building in Berlin. In the late afternoon, Bryan Adams will give a tour of his photo exhibition in the Reichstag building before Defence Minister Boris Pistorius presents veterans' badges in the early evening. It is diversity, humanity and solidarity that make veterans in Germany so special and for which the 1st National Veterans' Day sets an example. Veterans' Day On 25 April 2024, the Bundestag decided by a large majority to establish the day of remembrance as an annual date to express a comprehensive appreciation for veterans.

Amsterdam - Hydrogen corridor from Oman to Europe

The world's first import corridor for liquid hydrogen through the Sultanate of Oman, the Netherlands and Germany was agreed in a Joint Development Agreement (JDA). This corridor will connect the port of Duqm in Oman with Amsterdam in the Netherlands and important logistics centres in Germany, including Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and the Port of Duisburg. The German Maritime Search and Rescue Service (DGzRS) was founded in Kiel on 29 May 1865 and, over the past 160 years, has laid the foundations for a sustainable, donation-financed and therefore independent sea rescue service in Germany with selfless helpfulness, constantly renewed rescue equipment and good organisation.
