Frigate "Sachsen-Anhalt" leaves home port for UNIFIL mission
On 25 August 2025 at 10 a.m., the frigate "Sachsen-Anhalt" will set sail for the mandated UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) mission off the Lebanese coast. The crew, under the command of frigate captain Daniel Läzer, will carry out maritime surveillance and training of the Lebanese navy off the Lebanese coast as part of the UNIFIL mission until the end of January next year. The "Sachsen-Anhalt" will leave Wilhelmshaven with around 150 servicemen and women.
