Red alert on the Atlantic: the heavily armed aircraft carrier group (CSG) around the USS "Harry S. Truman" is training for an emergency on the high seas. The aim of the four-week manoeuvre, in which a total of 7,000 marines on 12 ships are taking part, is the tactical optimisation of a combat ship unit for future missions. The centrepiece of the fleet is a 333-metre-long Nimitz-class aircraft carrier - guarded by destroyers, submarines, aircraft and a Bundeswehr combat ship, the frigate "Hessen".

The CSG's message: wherever we are needed, we are ready for action.
