Galileo SAR Meet in Nordholz a complete success

From 24.08.- 28.08.2023 the Meeting of the search and rescue pilots at the naval airbase in Nordholz. The fly-in on Thursday already gave an idea of what visitors to this year's event can expect. In addition to the guests and their helicopters from Belgium and the Czech Republic, among others, the naval aviators presented their "Sea King" in a special livery, reminiscent of the beginnings of search and rescue aviation in the German Navy. In addition to the static display, various flights and a symposium took place.

The highlight was the "Family Day" on Saturday. And there were more than just helicopters to see: Pony rides, bouncy castle and games for employees and soldiers. Others - including the spotters, for whom this was a special day - unfortunately had to stay outside. In addition, various suppliers and defence manufacturers had secured a place in the hall to demonstrate their products and supplies for the naval aviators. Airbus, Rheinmetall and ESG were not to be missed.
